tablet movie to tv

I have hooked up my samsung galaxy tablet 3 with the correct hdmi setup. I can do everything except when I try to watch a video from google play it is all fuzzy. Everything else is clear, games, music etc. I'm probably not hitting the right button. I used the red play reel icon (play movies). Thank you for the help

I don't use Google Play, but is it possible Google is doing this intentionally for copyright purposes?

I know for awhile HBO wouldn't let you send anything to the TV
