Network error

I have a tab3 8 wifi running kit Kat 4.4 2.
Most of the time the WiFi is turned off as it is used by my son, a lot of times when I turn the tablet on I get a msg in a grey box saying " network error. Please check your network and try again". But nothing is running at the time.
Can anyone help.

In the background certain apps will use an internet connection, you don't have to open the app for it to do this. Essentially there are apps running in the background that require an internet connection, if the device loses connection the message will appear, because an app that was using it in the background no longer has an internet connection.

Thanks for that is there any way of removing the message without restarting the tablet?

No, as the message is to show that something has gone wrong when trying to connect to the internet or something went wrong while connected to it.

Try disconnecting the other devices in your house and then see if this message still appears.
