My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.10 can't connect to the internet but my HTC ONE X will (from the same room)

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.10 can't connect to the internet but my HTC ONE X smartphone will (from the same room).
I've already checked my settings and rebooted, still not connecting.
I'm not a wiz with any of this stuff, so I'd appreciate if you speak in laymen's terms.
Is there anyone out there that can help me...please?

Is it not connecting to the WiFi or you're connected to it but just don't have Internet access?

If it's the first, have you tried rebooting your router or changing the channel on it? Do you see any error messages when trying to connect? Does your tablet at least 'see' the WiFi, just can't connect?
