How, please, do I permanantly remove old unwanted emails from my Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet

I delete them from the inbox. They go to trash. They keep reappearing and I simply cant permanently remove them.

Welcome to Android Central! Which email provider are you using? It sounds like the account you set up is using the older POP3 server protocol. I would suggest changing it to the IMAP server. See the difference here: IMAP vs POP3
