What is going on causing battery to drain so much with no interaction?

Tablet is the LTE version from T-Mobile. The tablet has lately not been holding much of a charge when the tablet is idle for almost the whole day. If left with low activity, it could last at least 5+ days on standby. Now it can't even last more than 15 hours before warning of low battery.

Welcome to Android Central! If you have no SIM card inserted, try turning on Airplane Mode, so that the cell radio isn't using any energy. You can always turn wi-fi back on after turning on Airplane Mode.

Have you tried holding down the HOME key for a few seconds and you will get a list of all running apps. Tap CLOSE ALL at the bottom right toclose all apps and then see what your battery drainage looks like. If it is still high try removing the Micro SD Card. They can be defective!
Mapping programs and Apps that use GPS can keep running even when you leave them. The close all button will be sure they are stopped! Let us know what you find!

However, quick discharge is common problem of Samsung tablet due to cracked battery connector. Re solder will fix it easily
