Tab A touch is laggy/choppy

I'm playing games on my tab a and when I aim to shoot something the movement is very choppy. It's hard to explain but when I move my finger on the screen, the thing won't react smoothly.
Like if I'm aiming at a bad guy in a shooter game when I try and aim move the crosshairs a little bit to get him in my sight it won't move
Is this normal for this model or do I need to contact samsung? Is there a fix for this?

Make sure you don't have any power saving modes on, which can throttle down the CPU speed.

Which games are you talking about? If they're very processor-intensive games, it's possible the Tab A's processor isn't quite up to the task. See if there are game settings to scale down the graphics detail.
