Mirror galaxy tab a how to get full screen

When using screen mirroring or chromecast the image does not fill the TV screen. It has boarders down the left and right of the screen (even when device is landscape) is there any way to make the tablet image fill the full tv screen?

Depending on the size of your tablet. I have tab A 9.7 which doesn't fill the full screen, but the tab A 10.1 will have the full screen on the TV
