I just purchased a Galaxy Tab A recently and so far like it a lot.

However, aesthetically, the fact that there is 30% of unused real estate on landscape mode and I have to put my icons on a center grid that can easily snap back in place when I tilt the tablet back to portrait is ANNOYING! I keep this in landscape 24/7 and I would like to put icons as far to the side as possible without turning to the next desktop page so I can see my wallpaper better. Is there any way I can do this? I have nova launcher but do not see an option. Essentially I wanted to make a little taskbar type thing to the left edge of the screen with my most used apps.

Go to nova settings>display then under width padding, set it to none. Then adjust the grid. The higher the number of colums, the closer it gets to the side of the screen. However this may lool weird when rotating from landscapes to portrait.
