When might I expect an upgade to Android 7 for my Samsung Galaxy TabA 8?

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T550. No update here. Sad part is that my tablet's security patch level is November 1, 2016!! What the heck!!!! This really sucks!!!

Now only if my Note 5 get 7.1 on it. I like the feel of 7.1 on my tablet.

Does the upgrade to Nougat do anything that affects the built in tethering that Marshmallow has?

I have the P355, and use it as a hotspot for my computer. I will avoid the upgrade if it alters this.

Well low and behold......last night I FINALLY got the update!!! I now have Nougat 7.1.1 AND my security patch level is now August 1, 2017!!!!!!

I need to play around with the new software to find where and what things are new in 7.1.1. I previous had Marshmallow 6.0.1 on this tablet. So far my tablet runs smoother and faster. No issues with the update. I did clear the cache. I dislike the very small icons when you pull down the notification shade. Hard to make out what they are. Dislike the light turquoise color on the stark white background and the fonts are much smaller. Of course my eyes are not what they used to be.
