Charging issues?

Has anyone had a charging issue with their Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2? My wifes tablet started this issue today and is now dead and won't charge. Lots of info on the net about similar tablets but not this one. Going to try a new charging cord tomorrow if a local big box store has one. I'm curious for user community feedback on this issue and if the similar Samsung tablets "unplug the battery" is the fix. Also does anyone know the best way to access the battery?

You can use any 5V charger unit with a mini USB connector as a way of debugging the problem. Perhaps from you cell phone. You don't have to use a wide white USB3 connector. Plug the mini connector into the smaller side of the USB3 port on your tablet.
