Galaxy Pro Tab 8.4- Constant Freezing

Hello,

The tab keeps freezing- the touch screen becomes unresponsive. The only thing I can do is hard restart, and it works great for a short time thereafter. I have factory reset this, and all apps are up to date. I have turned off the motion control. This happens in various apps, with no apps open, and from the lock screen. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. The steps for the Tab 4 should work for the Pro: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11558

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

Another thing to try would be to Unmount the SD card (if present--go to Settings>Storage to Unmount) and remove it, since a corrupt card can cause various issues.
