I am considering flashing a fresh version of Lollipop to my Tab S 10.5" (LTE version). There are so many problems with my Tab, especially since upgrading from Kit Kat to Lollipop 5.02 that it has been suggested that flashing may be the only solution.

However all the info on flashing firmware using Odin indicates a Windows computer is required. I only have a Macbook with OSX 10.6.8. The sites mentioning Mac friendly packages JOdin3 and Hiemdall say they are unsuitable for flashing large firmware files.

Can anyone advise on a solution.

Have you tried downloading Windows to your MacBook, or have you already got that far?

Sorry to have delayed my reply.
I dont want to try and put Windows on my laptop. Frankly that would be another layer of complexity to what is already (for me!) a difficult and risky exercise.

If I cannot find a method that is Mac compatible l will have to seek out a friend's Windows machine (though my Windows knowledge is not impressive).

I appreciate the advice - its far more than I have got from either Samsung or Apple.
