I am looking to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (Android 6.0.1) so that I can remove some of the factory junk.

I have never done a root before so I was hoping some of you experts could answer some questions

    1) What is the safest, easiest and most efficient root method out there?

    2) Is there a way I can backup apps and other data before rooting and cleaning up the bloatware?
I have used Helium backup in the past but it has proven to be unreliable and support never responds.

    3) What factory bloat can I safely remove?

    Thanks

Warning: I cannot be held responsible for anything you do to your phone, rooting is optional! This Does Trip The Knox Warranty Bit Built into the Bootloader of the Tab S 10.5

Turn Off Tablet, Hold Volume Down + Power
Flash CF_AutoRoot_Port_T800_BeansTown106.tar.md5 with Odin v3.09 (put in AP slot, don't change any other settings, click start)

The foremost step of rooting your phone is to backup your data of your phone. Just in case! The most easiest way and safest way is to use a reliable one click app since you have no idea of rooting. In this regard, KingRoot app is quite a good option for you.

I was under the impression that Titanium backup needed the device to be rooted for it to work?

Just use Package Disabler Pro. No need to root.
