Lollipop

I will be getting an S 8.4 tablet soon. I believe it ships with Kit Kat but is upgradeable to Lollipop.
My question is: Should I upgrade it immediately after unboxing? If so, what would be the best procedure? I'm a new Android user - so any advice, wisdom or insight to this idea or anything in regards to this device in general, would be greatly appreciated!

I just purchased a Tab S 8.4 myself, which I have to say is a great device. As for your question, what I did was update the tablet, and there will be a lot of updates if its new, including Android 5.0. Then I factory reset the device, and went from there.

Yes, I updated OTA, had no problems.

I bought a tab s 8.4 yesterday and I was surprised to see that it came with lollipop 5.02 already installed.
