Just a FYI - I noticed that my battery was draining faster than usual, so I looked to see if any apps were using too many resources. I noticed that the Wikipedia app (of all things!) was using about 33% CPU even when not being used. I removed the app and battery problem solved.

Same happened with my phone last week! Suddenly the Wikipedia app was one of the apps using more battery. I just killed it from the most recent apps and problem solved. Never happened again and I think the most recent update fixed the problem.

Why does anyone even need a Wikipedia app, anyway?

Just type 'wikipedia joe dimaggio' in the Google search bar and you are right there. :)

Well, maybe because they find useful the features included in the app. That's my case. For me navigating inside the app is much better that using a browser. Different needs, different opinions :)
