How to remove this app - news at the front.

What's the app that display the news - i want to remove it - it's saying i have to join up to continue.

Welcome to Android Central! That's probably Flipboard. Since it's preinstalled, you won't be able to remove it unless you root the device. You might be able to Disable it in the App Manager. Also, see if there is an option not to show that screen in the Edit Homescreen function.

Pinch on your home screen, swipe to the right and the unchecked the box at the top of your Flip board screen.
