This is my first Android tablet. How can I make the font size bigger on a widget? I've tried ten different ones, but all of them have tiny fonts in the calendar widgets. Screen size is 9.7, but it seems to have fonts for little phones only.

The stock Calendar widget usually doesn't have that kind of option. You might be able to find a 3rd party calendar app on Google Play Store or some other app store that does give you that option, but I can't give you a specific suggestion--just look around and try a few of them.

Best calendar app I have used is Digical which is amazing, works across handsets and tablets, and has multiple font options, and respects Samsung fonts too. Add the plus options, which are a low cost option and this is a superb application, that replaces stock Samsung. I particularly like the week text and month text view

Use Smooth calendar, which is a widget with various settings, including fonts.
