Samsung GalaxyTab S3 won't recognise my wireless game controller

Hello all, I was wondering if you could help me.

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 over the weekend and I wanted to hook up my controller

My new tablet continuously refuses to register it when it is switched on though. Does anyone have any advice on how to get the two items to connect or is my controller just incompatible with the Galaxy Tab S3

It is able to connect with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Phone
