I really like the look of the ipad air having the a12 chip.

But I want desperately a good viewing platform for HDR Netflix in 1440p.

But can the 5se with such a weak chip be used for browsing the web, word etc via a mouse and keyboard? Much like the MS Go etc.

But really a 5se costs as much as a tab S4. Yet its just a viewing and swiping screen. Can it be used for desktop functions?

Try our Apple forum at iMore forums. This is an Android forum. (Some of the people here have iPhones, but many of us don't. And don''t know a thing about them.

I found the Tab S5e to be more than adequate for what one can expect from a tablet. It certainly has one of the best screen for movies and Netflix. You would not have any problem with email and web browsing. It was also fine for remote desktop, which was quite easy with keyboard and mouse support. It could even handle a file that my iMac and iPad Pro had problem (very slow) opening.

The thing is the Tab S4 is the same price. Im not seeing the benefit of the lamed S5e, Im trying to understand its selling point?

I prefer the S5e for its fingerprint reader, thinner tablet, lighter weight. The Samsung book cover for S5e is also less bulky because it is magnetic.
