Screen mirroring while turning off tablet display

Hi all,

I want to know if there's a way to turn off the tablet screen of the Tab S6 while mirroring to a TV (using a USB-c hub / HDMI). As of now, the tab screen stays on.

You could always use smart view in the quick settings you can mirror the S6 screen that way

Because if you mirror a screen that's turned off, you're mirroring a black rectangle. ("Mirror" means what it says, it doesn't mean "send the display out the USB port instead of to the screen". If you used a mirror that didn't reverse things, it's what you would get - just larger, depending on the TV screen size.)

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to mirror to a dumb tv (no smart view). When I usb-c out from a laptop to usb-c hub / HDMI I can close my laptop screen and it still plays on tv. I'm trying to save battery on tablet.
