How to force Verizon Galaxy Tab to update to Gingerbread

The Gingerbread update has been out for weeks now, but I can't get my Tab to update. I've tried rebooting numerous times, but it still thinks it's up to date.

How can I force it to update? Or can I manually install the update from somewhere?

try calling CS and see if they can push the update to you...probably a long shot but who knows. I only suggest it because I was looking for a way to force the update and my google-fu came up empty.

Would rooting affect whether or not you get the update? I'm rooted and I've not gotten any updates.

I just had another system update, but still no 2.3. Strange...

Just talked to Verizon and they said they can't do anything about it, and to try calling Samsung.

If I had bought the tab from them, they offered to swap it out for a new one, but I bought it used, so I'll probably just root it and flash a ROM of my choosing.

Have you tried a factory reset?
