What was he trying to do?

What happens when you reboot? If nothing, did you factory reset?

I think he was trying to (I don't know the Android term) jail brake it.
When I reboot it the above screen scroll up. The factory reset
brings the same screen back up.

Android equivalent is flash. First you root your phone, which gives you root access to Android, then you flash a custom ROM, which is a custom version of Android.

A lot of those errors are relating to cache. What happens when you try and wipe cache?

    When i try to wipe cache the following comes up;

    --Wiping cache...
    Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
    Cache wipe complete.
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
    E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
    E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
    E:Can'y open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)

    Hmmm.

I suggest you post your question here as well. This subforum is kinda quiet.

    No problem. Good luck!!

If you get a solution, come back here and post what you did, just in case someone stumbles across this one day and it could help them.
