Galaxy Tab USB Charging - It Works

I've seen several references in other posts concerning USB charging not working. My Galaxy Tab charges fine while hooked up to my laptop with the USB cable. I wouldn't think it should matter which version you have (I have an unlocked German version). Just an FYI.

My US Verizon works too and didn't know people were having issues with it not charging on USB.

it charges fully or charges slowly...I noticed it charged but it was VERY slow....not enough for me to consider it a charing place at all.

I think your right that it does charge slower on USB vs an outlet. I just leave mine on the charger all night and there is no way I would run it down in one day.

I've found that anything I charge via computer USB is always slower charging than wall outlet.

I believe USB only charges at 0.5amp vs. 1amp from the wall.

yeah usb charging uses trickle charge.

I think the Tab's charger is actually 2A

Hi,

I just bought a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0", and noticed that it charges perfectly thru USB cable while its off; but when it's on, it doesn't charge.
I have a Galaxy S2 also, and it does charge thru USB cable when it's on.

Does anybody knows it this is possible on the Galaxy Tab??
