having a problem with my tab

I just started having some issues with my tab, first, when I connect it via the USB cable to my computer, I am not getting the options to for mas storage and such, I cannot see the tab via my computer, I know I have have connected it before, went through all the settings and cannot find anything on it.
Anyone know how to make it accessable via my computer?
the next thing is it used to tell me when I turned it on it was charging and how full it was, its not sayign that any more, any ideas?

now I am seeing a "safe mode at the bottom of the screen...how do I get out of it?

got the problem resolved, actually several issues, I turned the tab off for about 5 minutes then turned it back on, the safe mode was gone, and it was showing it was charging again. Also, the icons in applications were arranged in order. Turning it off for a few seconds did nothing, had to turn it off for a few minutes
