How to connect to TV?

Hi all

I'm looking for a cheap and easy way to steam pics and videos off my tab to my TV? The TV is not a smart TV so need some sort of cable or adapter I guess? Looking around eBay and the net found loads of mhl wires but all say won't work with the tab 4 10.1? Is there such a thing I can use to do this based in the UK

The Tab 4 unfortunately does not support MHL or SlimPort, which are the two ways you can connect a device to a TV via cable. Chromecast is probably your best bet.

As stated above, Chromecast is probably your best bet. You can't force MHL or SlimPort compatibility.

Loomed at that but can you stream pics and videos I have on the pad? Or only via YouTube Netflix etc

You should be able to use AllCast.

Chromecast also has a Cast Screen feature (which essentially mirrors the screen), but I'm not sure if that feature is available on the Tab 4. See more info here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6059461?hl=en
