Just wanted to share the issue I woke up to. I got an email from Samsung telling me that my trade-in of my old Active2 was did not meet the qualifications and I would be changed the discount of $150, I originally received.

No details as to why were given.

I contacted Samsung through the chat on their site to ask why and was told the charge back was manually removed, but was still not given a reason as to why I was sent the email in the first place 🤷🏽

They sent me confirmation email that the charge back was removed, but still no reason on why I was sent the original email.

Just thought I'd share, in case anyone else gets the same email.Screenshot_20210916-095851_Gmail.jpg

I'm expecting some crap like this on mine. I sent my GW3 in and got a 185 dollar credit. It's supposed to deliver today so I'm just waiting for some BS email like this.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

FYI - I'm having two issues with my smaller classic watch 4. Overheating (only when using LTE), and playing music through the watch speakers (independent of a bluetooth device). I called Samsung and told them about the issues. I asked for a delay in sending in my watch 3 until these issues are fixed (or else I would just send the watch 4 back), and the obliged.

Wow I am still waiting to hear! It says they received last week I think. I traded in an A2 and my husband a GW3.

Mine still says pending receipt what does that mean?

I received my successful trade-in email yesterday on my GW3. They received it on 9/9. So glad I didn't get screwed. Probably the first trade-in for me where they actually honored and communicated their process.

Mine came back because it still had my old phone number tied to it, even though I followed all of their instructions to remove and wipe it.

So, now, I have a Watch 3 that I cannot use and I have put it up on the FB Marketplace to see if I can recover some of the trade-in credit.

I also received an email form Samsung that my trade in, Fitbit Iconic, was not accepted, and I would be charged back the $100 discount. I ALWAYS include pictures of the item that I am trading in, in working shots and also before and after the factory reset. I used the chat feature on Samsung.com and explained why my device certainly did meet their specs, and I had included the photos to prove it. She said stay in chat while I check this, after 10 minutes she said that she manually accepted the trade in, and there was no further action required on my part, there would be no charge back. I checked "my orders" on samsung.com and the status has been changed to "Manually Accepted".
So, if this happens to you don't just accept it, try the chat feature and see if they will correct it.

I just got an email from Samsung that they were rejecting the trade-in because they claim it's not a Galaxy Active Watch 2. They attached 3 blurry photos of what they received and darn if doesn't look just like an AW2.

Update - After quickly chatting with Samsung they have accepted the trade-in.

They screwed me on my last trade in. I took pictures of my AW2. They received the trade-in on 9/7, but still showing pending receipt on the website. They really screwed up this launch with delayed shipping and screwy trade-in info/times/promises. I'm sure they are going to try and reject as many as they can to offset the credits given for their poor shipping and the amount of trade-in credits they gave.

They also rejected my Galaxy Watch Active 2, saying that it was the wrong device even though one of the pictures they attached is of the screen on with the boot screen that says "Galaxy Watch Active 2". Talking with support on chat right now.

What do you think you'll be asking for it?

It sounds like this trade-in fiasco is a lot like playing a slot machine.....go to a casino, do a trade-in with Sammy, it's all the same lol.

Try Swappa. I sold my GW3 for $250. I did include some bands and accessories that I didn't need to sweeten the deal, but if yours is working, I don't see any reason you can't get at least the trade-in value...

Thanks for this idea. I just listed it up on Swappa and will see how it goes.

Exact same thing happened to me. I followed Samsung's step-by-step instructions on resetting and clearing my Watch 3. Even turned it back on to check that it would turn on and that it wanted to go into
"brand-new" start-up process.

Got the email today that it failed the reset test, including photos that showed my old phone number on the watch.

So, I guess it is coming back and I will either gift it to someone or try to sell. Oh well.

Ugh, well, this time around, I solved that by NOT getting an LTE version. :D
