I posted this elsewhere here, but the main reason I bought the Active 2 (and therefore would not buy the AW3) is Samsung's (IMO) major mistake in returning to the "stem" buttons that stick out from the watch's case; these buttons cannot be protected by a case. If you've ever (and I'll bet you have) banged your watch against anything hard, you know how easy such stems could be damaged. That the buttons on the AW2 are recessed and add both to the watch's ergonomics and looks make it a keeper for me. That, and the AW3 offers me nothing compelling in its feature set. All in all, a bad move by Samsung.
