Most likely just the monthly security patch. Might be one or two little fixes. A major update, like a version update, always tells you on reboot. I just find it funny Verizon is always, behind.

This isn't Android - there's no real "monthly security update."

Go for it. I downloaded the update for my T-Mobile Galaxy Watch and didn't have any battery problems.

Not sure why I'm getting the 0ctober 19 update on November 27, but the build numbers match up. Apparently there are battery drain and audio improvements. I wonder if they fixed the bug that was making Spotify play after declining a phone call...

It doesn't match mine. My firmware ends in BRJ6, on t-mobile site ends in BRJ3

Nope, I updated and gave it a test. This bug is still there (BRJ6). Disappointing.

I got my update this morning for the Bluetooth version. Update list was not impressive. Battery improvement for NFC was the only big issue addressed. None of the common complaints were addressed.

I guess the other two are big also. Still waiting on sleep fixes and others people are listing. Mine seems ok for steps.

I've only had mine a week. In the dark about issues people are having. Don't track my sleep so I am unaware of any issue. Been sick so my steps haven't been considered either.

Only issue with sleep is poor deep sleep tracking. If it tracks any its normally way lower than it should be. Once a month or so it might get close to the average of 20% give or take 5% it should be reading. Otherwise it works but that messes up the other averages. Sleep as Android shows a more accurate reading and is compatible with the watch so it isn't the watches sensors. It has to be software.

Steps are not really an issue in my opinion but many do not like the way it records. It doesn't start registering until you walk a certain number I'd steps (I think it's 10). They sometimes compare it to phones which measure movement and can be faked by swinging or shaking the phone. Some may have faulty phones too as QC with this watch does seem to be iffy. A number, including myself, exchanged watches but most were for poor battery life. My return squared me away and my step count is very close to the Fitbit Ionic I had, but people also complained it was off. People also need to realize it's a watch, not a fitness band. It should be close but will never be as accurate as a dedicated chest band. Heart rate has also been an issue for some. Mostly while sweaty and exercise bit some times it seems to freeze in a certain range and needs a reboot. If you factor in how many of these are sold, and the fact that mostly peoe with issues post, I feel it's been a good device so far.

I'm coming from the Gear S2 Classic to the 42mm GW. Looking at steps today and it seems similar. Fine with me. I do light exercising so I don't need a super accurate fitness tracker.

Battery life is solid for me. Get 30+ with AODon the 42mm.

Very pleased with the watch so far.
