    Purchased galaxy LTE stand alone smart watch, only to find out its not smart enough to make/recieve phone calls when not connected to bluetooth..purchased phone mainly for that reason, im paying extra 10$ a month for an xtra line to use phone ...sprint says its a samsung issue , samsung says android issue ( supposedly waiting on new update ????? ) could someone let us in on whats going on , apparently may be my issue for being duped into buying a product that can't do what its supposed to ??????? Any help ?

    Do you have a SIM in the phone? Without one, you can't connect to the network. (That's the usual problem - a sales associate who doesn't know that when you pay for the extra line for the watch, they're supposed to put a SIM in it and update your account.)

    As stated in the thread, you should have a sim in the watch and not need your phone for anything other than setup. It may not have been activated. Call the carrier or go to where you bought it. Good luck

    I'm able to make calls over LTE. In fact, that's pretty much the only way I make calls. When my phone is connected to my watch, I usually just use my watch to check who's calling, and then reject it unless it's my wife or a friend (in which case I pull out my phone).

    Apparently thru investigation the standalone calling issue is a sprint issue and waiting on a " voLTE " system update......would have been nice if this was disclosed at time of purchase

    So you're paying for a line, but it's not functional. If you're in the USA, return it. You also have 60 days to dispute the charge, because it did not work upon delivery.

    on At&t with their Numbersync enabled, for the watch to answer the number that is assigned to if, you must set mobile to always on or be out of range of the bluetooth. When my cell phone is called and it is not quickly answered or it is off, AT&T transfers the call to the watch LTE. if you have mobile set to auto, it will turn on when it can't connect to your phone . it is very hard to write this as ads and keyboard take about 70% of the screen.

    Anytime your watch is connected to your phone through Bluetooth calls incoming and outgoing will go through your phone. You have to turn off Bluetooth connection if you want to make and receive calls directly from your watch

    I am having the same problem. I was told we have to wait until the Sprint and T-mobile migration is done. I have A Galaxy 4 watch that I received from Sprint last week
