Does it get standard warranty like most phones 1 year manufacturer's defect?
In addition to the 1 year manufacturer warranty

I can see it just fine outside in the sun. I really don't tamper with the brightness at all

Battery has been good for me. I know the battery is smaller than the one in the Ultra. But I thought I read somewhere that the Flip has 2 batteries. Nonetheless, battery hasn't been an issue for me at all.

Yeah 2 batteries for better balance. Same in new Razr. Battery experts say it is less efficient divided like that. FWIW, just what I've been reading.

    Side Note:
Looking at Razr forum and , wow it is dead. Latest post is 5 days ago. Does not bode well for the Moto

I like mine but I'm on the fence now about exchanging it for the Ultra. GPS went crazy today when I was using it and that's one thing I use a lot.

Not only that but it was a hassle to keep flipping the phone open to log my workouts.

If I don't exchange it for the Ultra, I will be exchanging it for the Purple Flip.

    * I'm going back and forth on this...

Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

To those who worry about it becoming arduous to have to flip it open to use, or whenever they pick it up off their table/desk, I suspect you never used a flip phone. It takes about 1/4 second to do and becomes intuitive to the point you don't even think about it - and there's no rule that says you have to flip it closed every time you put it down on your desk.

My biggest concern is the durability of the screen, but a lot of people seem to dismiss the fact that the screen on the Z Flip is actually far less likely to be damaged than on a slab phone when you're not using it and have it closed.

I would love to have one, but will probably have to wait a couple of years until the form factor becomes available in the 'reasonable' $700-$800 USD range that's not from an unknown or startup OEM.

So that replacement screen is out of warranty but during the warranty period if I interpret that correctly.

To me it's not about the 'flip to hang up' or nostalgia - it's about ease of carrying. Being able to have a 6"+ display device that fits easily in a pocket without threatening to rip the seams or bend from torsional flex (more likely with a long slab) has some definite value. Just not the $1300-1500 kind of value.

I agree, there is a certain value for flipping and compact storage. Over a grand is excessive for that privilege in my opinion.
By the way, I'm already used to the bulge of the Note 10+ in my front trouser pocket! My wife thinks I'm just happy to see her! :-)
