weather app not working? [now working]

have gear 2 / note 2 w/ 4.3

weather app always complains that I need to set up "use current location" but it's been set "ON" and shows my home town. the watch never displays the weather--just the message to "use current location". i tried restarting the watch. no joy. restarted phone. no joy

is it an app that just doesn't work yet?

i've got gps on and Gear Manager>My apps>Weather>settings>Use current Location> ON

can't see anything else to do. the watch just won't give me weather in it's weather app.

found the solution on another thread but why it's now working is beyond me. the fix? yet again uncheck "use location" and check it again. I'd already done that countless times, prior to the watch showing me ANY weather. this software isn't ready for prime time IMO. too much weirdness. (but over all i like the watch a lot. so does my wife...she wants one ASAP )
