Because Appy Geek showed up multiple times in my watch, I did a factory reset. Since then I've been unable to successfully install any apps from the Samsung app store. When I go to install an application, it successfully downloads to my phone, but I get an infinitely looping progress bar during the installation portion. It never completes.

In an attempt to correct the problem I completely uninstalled all of the watch based applications from my galaxy S3, but no joy. I am still unable to install applications. I even change the unknown application source setting and that did not affect the problem either.
Another comment is that all notifications as well as other blue tooth conversations between the phone and the watch are successful.
Does anyone have any suggestions for next steps for me to try?

When you did the factory reset on your Gear did you almost instantly get the newest watch firmware update? I had an update right out of the box and another about ten days later. If you haven't done so, I would suggest you click on your Gear in Gear Manager then software update. If that doesn't get it, maybe do another reset and attempt to update software before making any changes. Best of luck.

    Thanks JEH,
Following your suggestions, I confirmed that I had the most current firmware. After that, I did another factory reset. No luck.

However, your line of thinking, got me thinking. Knowing the potential mayhem that I might create for myself, I went ahead and uninstalled the gear manager on my galaxy S3. Even though it reset of the gear manager settings as well as my watch back to square one, it did solve the problem! Reinstalling the gear manager on the phone seems to be the solution.

I did a factory reset on my gear s and now my 3rd party apps I had on my gear s will not move from gear manager to my gear s. The app store shows that I have them installed, so I cannot install them again. How do I get them to transfer to my gear s?
