I would look into issues like bluetooth media streaming not shutting down first. I've had my gear 2 in daily use and nightly charging since it was released and I'm typically down only 10-20% in a typical day of text messages and email, maybe a couple of calls.

I agree. In my experience, rapid battery drain is due to some glitch in the connection between the phone and Gear 2/Neo. A reset of the watch and/or Gear Manager has always worked.
