gear fit 2 no longer gets notification

[Android Central Question]

I have a s10e that I've had paired with the gear fit 2 for a while and everything worked perfectly. recently, my watch no longer receives notifications other than phone calls. there was a security update on my phone recently, but I don't' know if that has anything to do with it since I cant remember if it was doing it before that or not. everything is on and allowed, I don't know where else to look to see what happened. I've reset my watch, even tried a second fit 2 and its the same. any suggestions? thanks

check the watches app on your phone and see if notifications are turned on there.
