Piring new Samsung Gear LIve with Motorola Mot0 G

I bought a brand new Samsung Gear Live yesterday from Ebay. I had downloaded the App Android wear to the phone. when I try to pair the watch to the phone via the phone tooth I am unable to pair. I have tried several times to no avail. Any help please?

The proper way to pair them is to factory reset the watch, then when the watch starts up it will prompt you to go thru the pairing phase. You then use Android Wear to pair them.
