No notifications after reconnection

My s2 seems to have a problem receiving all notifications after a reconnection. For example, if I turn off the bluetooth on the phone or s2 and reconnect it again, I will not receive any notifications (SMS, missing call, etc). It stays this way till I reboot the phone.My phone is note 4 with stock 5.0.1. I have tried uninstall/reinstall gear manager, do a factory reset on s2 and it doesn't solve the problem. By the way, I do have a bluetooth headset connecting to the phone. But it probably is not the culprit since I have the same problem even if I turn off the headset. It looks like a problem of gear manager. Is there anyone having the same problem?
