Ok so I tried to google the answer and I went to the Samsung person inside Best Buy and neither helped. What is going on is when I get an email notification on my watch, I delete it and it wakes my phone up. So if it is in my pocket or sitting on the desk across from me, the screen lights up and it bypasses the lock screen to a functioning phone. Causes issues when in my pocket but more importantly, I am getting tired of having to manually turn the screen off.

I am using the Gear S2 3G and the Note 7.

Thank you with any tips on how to stop this.

Not doing that with my S7, deletes the email and says check on phone, or something like that. But the phone is not activated. I do use Gmail, the generic samsung may behave differently. I'd be looking at settings for the watch and phone.

Thank you for the response. I think I figured it out. I downloaded Blackberry Hub and it was sending alerts to the watch and not the actual gmail app. It was waking up the phone.
