Notification issue? Maybe?

Ok, I have had this Gear S2 for a while now. I used to have it connected to my Note Edge. I had to have that replaced and now have an S7 Edge.

Before I paired it with my S7 Edge, when I would get a notification, the watch screen would come on and let me peek at the notification.

Ever since I paired it with my S7 Edge, this no longer happens. I get the notification noise on my watch, but the screen stays off.

Any ideas?

Bluetooth is a method of transferring data from one device to another - there's no spec yet for what data gets transferred, or what format it gets transferred in. (IOW, some combinations work completely, some work almost completely and some don't work at all.) Either accept what it's doing or go back to a Note.

Go to Samsung Gear (app) on the Note. Tap "Notifications". Turn the switch for "Turn On Screen" on. This will set the app to turn on the Gear screen when you receive notifications.
