Why is the contacts app killing my watch battery

Just wondering if someone else is having this problem. So my Samsung Galaxy S3 watches battery is draining faster than normal. I look at battery usage and it says the contacts app is using about 90 percent of my battery. This has been going on the last 3 weeks. It isn't the watchface, since i changed between 7 watch faces in the last week. The only difference i could think of is I am using google messages as my default messages app. Thanks in advance!

im having the same exact issue. Tried a factory reset, tried turning on "Touch wake up" ( read in a few places that it helped some people) both solutions did not work for me but hey it might work for you so its worth a try.

It happened to my Gear Sport after a small update. A simple reboot solved the drain.
