Intercept Ringer/Alarm/Media/Notification sound not working

I use my phone to play pandora plugged in to my stereo, and that works, but no sound when it's unplugged, only vibrate. I've hard reset it, but not factory reset.

Before you do a factory reset (back up your contacts) you may want to check the lock screen swipe... I know this sounds strange and I mean no insult by it but the lock screen was changed to include the ability to silence the phone. You swipe one way to unlock and the other to silence/unsilence. It's just a thought...I have three of these phones and on one the user had accidently swiped it to silence. His ring and sound worked after..on the other two I had to do a factory reset and they ring and play sound REALLY loud now.
