Should I wait for the official update or do it myself?

I have never messed with the ROM in my phone, and have no idea what I'm doing. Should I just wait for the official update since we're SO CLOSE, (LOL!) or should I go for it?

It's a lot easier to do that you think. Search this forum for some of the step-by-step guides that people have written - a lot of them are idiot proof and you can't screw anything up if you just follow the directions. The worst that can really happen is that you will have to reflash your phone back to stock and lose all of your data... It's VERY difficult to actually brick your phone to where you can't fix it.

I'm going to wait for it, just because I don't want to worry about having to brick my phone, even though there is a slight chance of bricking the phone while doing the official upgrade.

and I see it too much of a hassle having to go through all the flashing and what not.

I went ahead and did the upgrade myself, because like the apocolypse, who knows when it really will happen.
