Voice But No Data While on FIOS WiFi ?

Yesterday I was visiting a relative and they have Verizon FIOS for their phone service. I had my laptop to do some work so they gave my the log-in information and I had no problems.

Since I also wanted the phone on the WiFi for greater speed on the net after I no longer needed the the laptop I logged the phone on also. Making and receiving calls was just fine. However I could not get on to the Internet with any browser until I turned off WiFi. I tried everything except a hard reset.

WiFi off no problem
WiFi on no Internet ?

What is going on ?

I would try enabling airplane mode, to reset the cdma radio and data radio, then disable airplane mode. If that doesnt work, Id bring it back to sprint

I tried that no help. The weird thing is at my office I have FIOS WiFi and the Data works just fine.

Could their firewall be an issue? Sometimes people have things locked down by MAC addresses, or maybe only allowed a limited number of connections?? Maybe their WiFi Router is running N only? I'd probably figure it's some setting on their router preventing it.
