I use it at Kroger (part of King Soopers) without issue all the time except once when my credit card company blocked my Samsung Pay but the physical card went through. My Kroger is showing as accepting Android Pay when I am near by but it isn't enabled.

That is great to hear!I'll get to use it at Kings this weekend for the very first time.

The weird is Mastercard is showing the Kroger I shop at as accepting NFC. I used Google Wallet there years ago but it stopped working one day without warning way before Apple Pay.

Where I work (not Kroger) my location is supposed to start taking chip cards tomorrow but looking at the instructions it appears we will accept Apple Pay and Android Pay. I will test it out later in the week when I work. The hardware is there for NFC.

Only solution to me is just put the phone over card swiper on machine not the nfc symbol above the machine, will be trying this now at places like cumberland farms where it asks for pin on pnc debit and where i had problems and get back w feedback.

Does not work on any verifone card machines ive used so far like at lil caesars and chinese takeout (lmao) jsyk.

It worked for me on these verifone machines as long as the cashier does the transaction as a credit card swipe. I used it at a Chinese food location, nail shop, a food kiosk at the airport & several other small shops.

I keep having problems at this one Subway shop depending on who the cashier is. Whenever this lady is at the register my payment goes through. Whenever this guy is at the register it is hit & miss. I have to turn on the NFC on the phone to get Spay to work. It would not even work with my s3.

To use spay at Walmart ring your stuff up then hit finish and pay then credit card now put your phone with back camera right in the center of where you swipe your real card it works every time

Walmart has NEVER given me problems. Debit or credit. What pin are you using? Please answer this question. Are you using the pin for your actual plastic debit card, the 4 digit number in Samsung pay (last 4 of your virtual number) or the pin to get into Samsung pay? You say correct pin but which one? Given I am using chase not pnc. If you are indeed using the pin from your actual plastic debit card then I would call pnc or Samsung pay support.

So all 4 walmart by my house in Fort worth said they don't accept apple, samsung, or Android pay!? Only some walmart pay app? I wonder why I'm having so many problems?

I also live in Fort Worth and I got it to work at self checkout at a Walmart that is barely outside Fort Worth city limits. The location has Sams Club in the same parking lot. I turned off NFC will it's sending the magnetic field data then after it times out I click try again then hold it up to the pin pad. The pin pad that Walmart uses supports NFC but they disabled it for payment but they are using it somehow to block Samsung Pay until you turn off NFC on your phone.

I normally don't shop at Walmart.

I tried it at the nearest Dominos last week. It didn't work, even though Samsung says Dominos will take Samsung Pay.

You can buy a Dominos gift card in a app. Right now in the Samsung Pay app you can buy a $25 Dominos gift card for $20.

Dominos used to support Android Pay but the dropped support around the time Dominos gift card promos started in Samsung Pay.

I normally pay in app with a gift card or type in my credit card info so it is faster/more secure than there current setup.

I went back to the Dominos and it was not declined like it was through NFC, though I had to find the sweet spot to use MST. The new terminals they installed recently are not the ones commonly used by most retailers, so the ergonomics and design are chunkier and the slots are deeper, which makes it difficult to use MST in comparison to the regular terminals.

I have had problems using SP, but it seems to me it's the cashier who is not tapping the right button. If I take the time to explain that I want to use SP and they need to get ready to use a physical credit card, they are amazed that SP works. I did get a "Card Read Error" at the self checkout at Smith's, but my stubbornness prevailed and after repeated attempts, SP was accepted. I once had to move to a different self-checkout at a Walmart because the Walmart employee kept nagging that it doesn't work and kept reaching over me to tap the screen. I finally went to a different till and did it quickly while she was voiding the stuff I scanned at the last till. Once the cashiers around town have seem me use SP, they know what to expect and everything goes smoothly. Now if I could just get the Subway employees trained so I can pay with the Subway app...

Both places I work you have to press a button to enable the pin pad to accept any credit/debit card. At one of them the pin pad used to be ready for payment after I scanned the first item but since we updated to EMV and at the same time Apple Pay/Android Pay I have to tell the the total. The EMV update has even caused glitches in not accepting our employee discount via the pin pad sometimes.

You need to tell the cashier you are paying with a credit/debit card. My Kroger is still showing as accepting Android Pay on Android Pay if I have my GPS on inside the store. SP works 100% of time the first time at Kroger. Kroger is part of the Smith family.

Samsung pay has always worked for me every where I use it. However I recently received a new AMEX card with the chip and ever since, it doesnt seem to work anywhere. At Walmart I get card declined, it has no problem reading it and processing it, but it gives a card declined, I put the physical card in and it approves every time. I can use my CITI card that has a chip and had no issues at all with walmart or any other store. I think walmart is trying to block the use of samsung pay because of their own walmart pay. I would prefer to use my own card and I think this is crap. Their card reader always says bad card the first time but then if you keep it on the reader it eventually goes through. The only place I have found that samsung pay never works is lowes.

I've been using Samsung Pay at Central Market for groceries for several months now just fine. Today, as I was using it, the cashier told me they won't accept mobile payments, but I went ahead and used Samsung Pay anyway and it went through fine. However, they canceled the transaction before I could finalize it, and forced me to use my physical credit card.

I was not happy about it called them when I got home to complain to management. They defended themselves and said they don't accept mobile payments like Apple Pay. I told them Samsung Pay was not the same and was working just fine. The manager was not nice about the situation at all, saying they instructed all cashiers to not accept it and even claimed that any transactions that have gone through ok wasn't really going through on their end and that they weren't getting those payments, which is complete BS. These transactions show up on my credit card statement without issue. He went on to transfer to me to their billing specialist who would try to explain to me how they don't support mobile payments and hope to support it in the future. I tried to explain to them how Samsung Pay worked but they weren't hearing it. They said they would have corporate follow up with me further with more information.

This is the first time I've had any resistance from a company to physically not allow Samsung Pay even though it works. I've had instances (as may of us had) where we were told it wouldn't work, and it would work just fine and everyone would be surprised and amused about it. I'm hoping this doesn't happen to others. I will have to try to hide the fact that I'm using Samsung Pay next time when they're not looking to complete my transaction.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before...

When I use SP at a Disney Store, it works just fine, but the cashier always asks for the 3 digit security code on the back of the card. You have to give them the code from the original card, and then the transaction goes through. Just memorize the code from the card you use most frequently, so you don't run into any issues.
