Knox error after install and reboot

I am on 4.3 and installed Knox with success. I was able to go into / out of the Knox container to view the apps there. After I rebooted my phone, my troubles started. When I wake the phone I see the lock screen, but after I swipe past there I get a recurring popup (every second or so) of the Knox app title bar with a black screen. If I pull down the notification shade, I'll see it briefly but the app popup takes over and I cannot select anything from the notifications. I tried connecting to Kies but the popup causes the connection to be lost. I can get into safe mode when rebooting but that doesn't help me uninstall Knox since I need to open the app in order to uninstall. Any suggestions beyond factory reset?
