e-mail alerts when you get a private message

i get e-mail alerts when someone replies to a thread that i started or responded to but i do not when i get a private message.

how do i fix this?

Go into the account settings and adjust the notification criteria accordingly. This might need to be done from the web browser and via the full site, not mobile.
