Forum to allow new-post-creator to select a best-answer to cut-short reading for others

Hi,
can Android-Central please use make use of the forum feature where the new-post-creator can select a best-answer to cut-short reading for others or for self if re-reading ?

That would be way way more up-to-date in usability of forum-help-potential.

That feature already exists.

In almost all cases, guest posters provide inadequate info, though carefully instructed to give as much relevant info as possible, and when whoever replies asks for more, we never hear from them again.

I believe you also need to be registered as a member in order to mark a best answer.

What @belodion says is correct, my post history is riddled with threads where I ask the poster to provide more info because we can't possibly help based on the info provided and the topic just ends there.

It's called a drive-by posting, and yours is probably going to end up being one too. (I'm often tempted to add one more post to a thread like that, saying
