why are the captcha quizzes impossible to pass

The images are so grainy I can't pass the captcha questions.
This is super obnoxious and there is no need to be an ******* about preventing feedback.

They're pretty bad on a phone, they're actually designed for a desktop, but a lot of "web developers" don't actually know how to develop a website, so they don't take that into account. Blame the site "developer", not Captcha - it's actually a pretty good system, whether it's the "tap any picture with a crosswalk" type or the Recaptcha type (type the two words shown - one of them couldn't be decoded using machine vision, so you're actually helping to digitize some book). The ones with the characters hidden among the dots are just a bad idea to begin with, but many "developers" still use them - because they don't think.
