Well I can chip in with my own considerations. From what I've read, you might squeeze more wear time out of the watches with the 3100, but as said performance is the same since it's the same architecture basically.
Right now I can squeeze about 1,5 day out of my Skagen Falster 2, but so far it hasn't been necessary - so whenever I charge my phone, I charge my watch like it's second nature.
So I decided not to wait until the come out with a Skagen watch with the 3100 chip(which honestly doubt they will seeing the poor upgrade it really is).
As to whether it's a good buy, I'm personally still on the fence about. It's a beautiful attempt of a smartwatch, but I have so many bugs with it atm that I'm honestly thinking of returning it. I You can read about it here:
