Since Android is open-source, could you install Android wear on an sd card and put it into this watch: Starry Bay Smart Watch Sw-08. (I would put a link, but this is my first question) If not what requirements does Android Wear have?

The firmware will need to have the drivers to support the hardware. People get confuse that think Android is like Linux that you can install Linux basically in any PC. For Android to work in a hardware, the booloader needs to be unlocked and needs to have the drivers as well.

Android wear is not open source. Even OEM's can't fiddle with wear. You can load full Android onto a watch, but as stated you will need to get past the driver issue first.
