I have what might seem like a dumb question but I can't find a straight forward answer on Google. Does a mobile phone 1.3GHz quad-core processor work like a desktop quad-core processor? in the sense that each core runs at 1.3GHz? OR is the 1.3 divided amongst the four processors?

Every core has the capability to run at 1.3 though not all will run at that speed or be active at the same time.

if all processors run 1.3Ghz for a hour, your battery will end up with burning.

quadcore mobile cpu's are great for short burts. . meaning opening emails in a hurry . . the problem with mobile processors is the cooling. . they dont have fans like a desktop pc and will heat up
